He also wrote an article for the Solo Newsletter of the American Bar Association's General
Practice Section, an article on "Closing Arguments: Getting the Jury on Your Side"
Waggoner was inducted into the Indiana State Bar Association's General Practice, Solo
and Small Firm Section's GP Hall of Fame, in October 2006. A member of the third class of
inductees, Waggoner was cited for his contributions to the practitioners of Indiana, and his
efforts on behalf of the legal profession.
Waggoner served as Chair of the Board of Eureka College from 2006-2008, a 4 year liberal
arts college located in Eureka Illinois. Eureka is best known as the alma mater of US
president Ronald W. Reagan, (Class of 1932). Waggoner was elected to the Board of
Trustees in 2003 for a six year term, and elected board chair in May 2006 and reelected in
May 2007.
Waggoner has been published in the American Bar Association book How to Capture and Keep Clients
as a contributing writer with a chapter on "Five Essential Steps to Rainmaking
in a Really Small Town." Waggoner has been published again with two chapters in another
ABA book, Effectively Staffing Your Law Firm, with a personal chapter on "Kellie: Our
Special employee," and "Legal Staff Evaluations."
